Day Ten
Day
Ten: Write about something for which you feel strongly
Well everything I write on my blog
is something that I feel strongly about. (Except for my travel, that’s just for
fun). I guess one thing I feel strongly about is God’s love for His children.
They are His most precious creation.
I’ve always heard that beauty is in the
eye of the beholder, but I think there are certain scenery and settings that
would be considered beautiful to anyone; the blueness of the ocean as it
stretches out beyond what our eyes can see, the sun going down in the west
casting vivid colors into the darkening sky, mountains rising up to dizzying
heights behind forests of the greenest tress and rivers flowing into
magnificent waterfalls, the bright blue sky on a warm sunny day with perfect
white clouds sprinkled around, the reflection of cliffs off of the surface of
peaceful mountain lakes, winding roads into nowhere, lone trees, small boats on
serene water, lighthouses sending light into the darkness around them. The
Earth is overflowing with beauty, however it doesn’t stop there. Take looking
up into the night sky and seeing bright stars burning as a beacon through the
night, or look at the images that the Hubble telescope returns of bright colors
swirled through space. When creating “worlds without end” our Heavenly Father
embedded the most beauty for us to observe in on short lives on this Earth. It
can be overwhelming thinking about the creations of our Father as we stand in
awe at nature. His creations are beautiful, remarkable, and breathtaking.
However, before we get caught up in
the grandeur of the Earth He has given us to live upon, let us consider His
most precious creation. Was it fields of flowers or stars peppered throughout
the sky? No, our Heavenly Father’s most precious creation is you. His most
cherished creation is His children. His most beautiful creation is that elderly
woman talking about her childhood, it’s the bag boy at the grocery store, it’s
the woman working at the post office, the doctor you take your children to, the
child learning to ride a bicycle. It’s the dancer, the runner, the singer, the
creator, the architect, the father, the mother, the actor, the vet, the
student. It’s me, it’s you. It’s all of His children. He is the Father of our
spirits, and we are his greatest creations.
He has made us a different as He has
made the world. Everyone is unique in their own way. From the way our hair
grows, to our height, and weight, and how big our feet are to the things that
we dislike and the things that bring us joy. We are all different, and all of
our lives are different.
The creation of the human body was
the crowning event of the creation. He had created animals. He had already
created jaguars to run through the jungles, he had created fish to swim through
the sea, and he had already created birds to soar through the air. But there
was something more He needed to create; humans. His most precious creation. His
favorite. The one which had dominion over everything else. And the human life
that was created should be valued over everything else too.
Remember that He loves you beyond
words. He loves you perfectly and individually, because you are His most precious
creation.
